You let go of Kate’s hand and sprint towards the van. The sound of the sirens grow louder but they are not yet close enough to see the van speed off.
“I’m Mike,” the driver introduces himself while looking into the side mirror. “That’s Jack,” he nods towards the other man taking a seat in the passenger side. You cling onto the seats as Mike makes a sharp turn to the right.
Once around the corner, Mike slows down to a more sedate speed. “We need to go straight to the university,” he says.
You look in the side mirrors. No police cars are following you. “We need to get the professor first. He is critical to get the data.”
“It’s very risky,” Mike says.
