You decide that following them on the road is too dangerous, they will spot your headlights. You get out of the car, stretching your tired muscles. Kate grabs her backpack and sets off. You sprint a few paces to catch up.

You walk for a solid two hours, moonlight shining through the tress lighting your way.

The dirt road ends at a cottage with a shed leaning against one wall. The car you have been following is parked about thirty yards from the front door. Two windows on the top floor is lit, giving the appearance of two shiny eyes looking at you. An image straight from a horror movie.

“We can use the shed roof to sneak through those windows,” Kate whispers, hunching next to you. “It’s risky, we have no idea where they may be or even how many people are in the house.”

A door on the bottom floor is lit by a dim light, insects orbiting the exposed globe. Blue light is playing on some curtains next to the door, the sign of a television set.

“Or we can set fire to the car to create a diversion. They  will probably all rush out and then we can climb through the window behind them,” you add.

If you:
